Our Role
Providing support while seeking out opportunities
The Anglican Schools Commission carries out two primary functions: to provide support to existing Anglican Schools Commission schools, and to seek out opportunities to create new educational communities across Western Australia.
The Anglican Schools Commission gathers regularly with school council chairs, school principals and senior staff for professional support and the sharing of common issues.
We provide policy direction and support in the areas of finance and budgeting, industrial relations and capital development. We also provide the curriculum framework and professional development for Christian Religious Studies, assisting teachers to develop meaningful and engaging programs with students.
In developing new schools, the Anglican Schools Commission works closely with local communities, parish churches, government, property developers and the wider corporate sector to plan new schools in growth areas throughout Western Australia.
As well as proactively seeking sites on which to establish new schools, we welcome interest from local communities who wish to see a low fee Anglican education available in their area.
